Terminology, checks and scope must describe the same equipment
“Used”, “tested” and “refurbished” are not synonyms. Public descriptions must correspond to the work actually completed and the documents available.
APPROACH
Three definitions that must remain distinct
A used system has had a previous operating life; this definition alone does not imply checks, work or warranty. “Tested” is used only when the tests, date and conditions are stated. “Refurbished” requires a documented scope of work for the specific equipment.
The commercial listing separates what is included, optional or dependent on the destination. Transport, building work, installation, acceptance and support are never left implicit.
Tested
A definition linked to stated tests, date, conditions and documented result.
Refurbished
A definition linked to a recorded scope of work completed on the equipment.
Configuration
Accessories, software, coils, documents and services are listed explicitly.
BEFORE PUBLICATION
Identity, data provenance and approved photography
Public stock code, manufacturer, model, year, status and configuration are collected without exposing serial numbers, internal references or customer information.
Photographs must show the equipment or activity described, contain no metadata and avoid unauthorised people, logos, plates or customer environments.

PROJECT SCOPE
Equipment and services are described separately
Equipment condition does not automatically define the project scope. Deinstallation, packing, transport, site preparation, installation, tests and acceptance are quoted or excluded clearly.
The aim is to let customers compare proposals on the same basis, without turning a photograph or commercial name into a promise.

USEFUL QUESTIONS
Before getting started
Is used equipment automatically tested?
No. “Tested” is used only when the tests and conditions of the check are stated.
Does refurbished mean as new?
No. The term must refer to specific documented work and must not imply generic equivalence with new equipment.
Are transport and installation always included?
No. Included, optional and excluded services must be stated in the proposal for the specific destination.
