MRI INSTALLATION

MRI planning and installation

Installing an MRI system means coordinating the equipment, room, entry route, utilities, logistics and technical stakeholders. The project starts from the available information and makes outstanding checks explicit before work begins.

APPROACH

System, site and sequence need to be considered together

Machine dimensions and configuration are only part of the information. Route geometry and load limits, room condition, utility interfaces, access, programme and the work assigned to each party also need to be considered.

Planning separates documented information from assumptions. When surveys, drawings or specialist checks are required, these points are stated in the scope before the operating sequence is defined.

Installation, connections, checks and later activities are not interchangeable terms: the stages actually included must be expressly stated for the specific project.

01

Equipment

Available configuration, dimensions, weights and documents.

02

Site

Room, access, routes, utilities and constraints to verify.

03

Stakeholders

Roles, responsibilities and activity dependencies.

04

Sequence

Programme and stages included in the agreed scope.

PRELIMINARY INFORMATION

A shared checklist helps reveal open points

Plans, measurements and technical documents are compared to identify incompatibilities or missing information. A site survey, where required, investigates points that cannot be resolved from the available documents.

MRI system requirements and any cryogenic activities are considered without replacing specialist or regulatory assessments assigned to other parties.

  • Expected model and configuration
  • Available plans and measurements
  • Route and moving method
  • Utilities and building work to coordinate
  • Programme and contacts

Moving requirements are prepared together with the other site constraints.

STAGES

From the initial picture to an operating sequence

  1. 01

    Collect

Organise information on the system, room, route and programme.

  2. 02

    Verify

Identify constraints, interfaces and required investigation.

  3. 03

    Coordinate

    Assign activities, stakeholders and dependencies.

  4. 04

    Execute

Support the stages expressly included in the project.

USEFUL QUESTIONS

Before getting started

Is a site survey always required?

The need is established after reviewing the available information and drawings.

Are all building work and utilities included?

No. Activities, responsibilities and outputs must be expressly stated in the agreed scope.

Are moving and cryogenic services automatic?

No. They are connected pathways but are assessed and confirmed for the system and site.

Have a system or project to discuss?

Tell us what support you need, where the facility is located and what matters most to you. Let’s start there.
